Louise Winten

Louise lives north of Morven in south-west Queensland with her husband and three children where they run a cattle, dorper sheet and goat enterprise.  They also have a property south of Morven in the mulga belt.  Louise was born and raised in south-west Queensland and as such has strong community connections throughout the region.

Louise is a Board Member of Rural Solutions Queensland, has spent five years as a State Councillor for the Isolated Children's Parent's Association (ICPA Qld), is an executive member of many local associations and a member of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) Reference Group.  She is currently also a Regional Community Forum Member for the Darling Downs and Southwest Region.

Louise has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course, has attained a Diploma in Agribusiness Management and is a Justice of the Peace.  Louise is passionate about ensuring regional areas remain vibrant and vital and that their communities are thriving the good times and preparing for what the future may bring.
